Metal BBs

The history of metal BBs, commonly used in airguns, began in the late 1880s with lead shotgun shot, sized BB, being used as projectiles. The term “BB” became generic for small, spherical projectiles, and later, steel BBs emerged as a more durable and precise alternative.
