Feinwerkbau was established by former Mauser engineers, Karl Westinger and Ernst Altenburger. Initially, they produced precision parts for various companies and developed electromechanical calculators.
The first notable air rifle was the LG150, launched in 1963, which became the first recoilless match air rifle with a fixed barrel and fixed sights. This was followed by their first air pistol in 1965.
Feinwerkbau’s products are highly regarded in the shooting sports world, and they remain a leading manufacturer of high-precision sporting firearms.
